We are building out the 1st ever public e-bike battery charging / swapping network.

Starting in the Bike Capital of the World! We’re making Amsterdam more accessible for e-bike riders by providing convenient battery storage solutions across the city.

Whether you’re at the bar or the gym, at the office or watching a football match, our lockers are placed in spots you already visit, ensuring your battery is safe and charged while you’re out.

How it works

Locate a PowerShelter

You use the PowerShelter website, App, or your e-bike’s app (if they are one of our partners) to find a nearby participating location (e.g., a bar, restaurant, gym).

Drop off your battery

Either using the touch screen, your e-bike app or the PowerShelter app and do one of the following 3 things after the door automatically opens for you:

If using your e-bike’s app, one of the partner-branded compartments will open where you’ll find a built-in charger for your e-bike, plug in your battery, and shut the door.

If using your own charger, plug the charger into the outlet, plug in your battery, and shut the door.
If you just want to store your battery, that’s cool too. Just place it in and shut the door.

Charge and Go about your day

While the battery charges, you can relax at the venue, grab a meal, work out, or run errands, finally not having to worry about your battery being stolen or having range anxiety.

Pick-up your Battery when you need

Return to the Shelter and retrieve the fully charged battery the same way you put it in, but reverse.

Are you a delivery driver or company?

Riders can rent a single charging compartment for personal use, using the form above.
Fleet operators can reserve multiple compartments across our network so their riders always have a safe place to charge or swap batteries. Get in touch to learn more.

Use PowerShelter’s proven hardware and our network of location partners across Europe to set up your own battery-swapping or charging network.
