Gas sensors
The SmartShelter is equipped with H2, CO2, and CO Gas sensors — the most common gasses emitted from damaged bike batteries. These sensors will trigger an auto shut-off of the unit once they reach a certain threshold.
Temperature sensors
Included temperature sensors that continuously detect overheating during charging. If heat exceeds safe limits, the system automatically shuts off power.
Cooling & extraction fans
We equip cooling fans in each of the compartments to help regulate temperature while charging. These fans help extract the dangerous gases that can ignite and increase the risk of thermal runaway.
Security camera
The SmartShelter is equipped with a front-facing security camera and optional overhead fish-eye security camera.
Circuit breaker
We include integrated circuit breakers ranging from 16A up to 100A to prevent any tripped fuses on the building side and prevent over charging.
Fire supression
Each compartment includes an independent fire-suppression system designed to automatically contain and neutralize incidents at the source.
Warning alarm
Built-in warning alarm activates when a door is left open or when sensors detect overheating, a potential thermal event, or battery runaway.
Scalable power delivery
SmartModules can be added without extra electrical work, while each compartment’s power is individually controlled for battery cycling and efficient charging—all from (up to) a single 100-amp input.
EV grade mica sheet lining
Each compartment is lined with EV Grade Mica Sheets (usually used in wrapping EV Batteries) to add an extra layer of protection between compartments and prevent propogation.
