What are the safe operating temperatures?

PowerShelters are rated for ambient temperatures between –10 °C and +45 °C.
For best performance and battery longevity, charging should ideally take place between 10 °C and 30 °C.
Avoid charging batteries that feel hot to the touch or have been exposed to direct sunlight, heat sources, or freezing conditions.

When should I not charge a battery?

  • The battery feels swollen, damaged, leaking, or unusually warm.

  • The surrounding temperature is below 0 °C or above 45 °C.

  • You notice a smell, smoke, or physical damage to the connector or cable.

The PowerShelter’s sensors are designed to automatically detect unsafe conditions and will disable charging to protect both the user and the system.

Can PowerShelter be installed outdoors?

Yes. SmartShelter and SmartModule models are designed for outdoor use, with sealed and weather-treated construction. The installation site should remain clear of flammable materials such as wood, insulation, or plastics.

Can PowerShelter products be installed indoors?

Yes, if the area meets ventilation and clearance requirements. Indoor installations should be reviewed by local (fire) safety advisors. When possible, place the shelter below existing sprinkler coverage.

What safety systems are built in?

SmartShelter units include independent breakers for each compartment, temperature and gas sensors, and fire suppression systems. These features are designed to monitor the charging environment and isolate power automatically if abnormal readings are detected.
